Salman Khan has been questioned by Bombay police after an accident in
which one person was killed and three others injured.
A case of rash and drunken driving has been registered against Khan in
connection with the incident, which took place early on Saturday morning.
Police say Khan fled from his first floor apartment when a group of police
officers arrived to question him.But a few hours later, he turned himself in for

questioning at a city police station.
Protected The accident happened around 0300 local time.
Khan has been in trouble with the police before
Police are continuing to question Khan, whose Toyota Land Cruiser was
involved in the incident when it lost control near a roadside bakery in the
northern suburb of Bandra.
Police say Khan was driving the vehicle and was accompanied by his
personal bodyguard, provided by the Bombay police.
He was given protection after receiving threats from the Bombay underworld
in recent weeks.
One man who was sleeping outside the bakery was killed on the spot. Three
others, including two children, were seriously injured.
It is not the first time Salman Khan has been in the news for the wrong
reasons.
He has been arrested before for the illegal hunting and killing of a deer - that
case is still with the courts.
Last week he was in the news for allegedly beating up his girlfriend, the
reigning Bollywood Queen and a former Miss World Aishwarya Rai.
In an interview to the Times of India on Friday, Miss Rai said she had ended
her relationship with Khan.
In the interview, Miss Rai also said she endured physical violence at the
hands of the actor but decided to end their relationship once she realised he
was also cheating on her.

There seems to be no respite for Salman Khan. A hit-and-run case, in which
Salman is accused of ramming his SUV into a bakery, killing one person and
injuring four others, is back to haunt the actor. On Monday (14th March, 2011),
the prosecution moved an application before the Bandra magistrate’s court to
enhance the charges against him. The prosecution also sought permission to
apply section 304 II of the Indian Penal Code under which Salman will be
tried in a sessions court.

Salman Khan was taken into custody in the early hours of September 28, 

2002, and booked under section 304 (A) for a rash and negligent driving as he
was also found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The trial of the
case began only in 2005. If found guilty, the Dabangg star could face
maximum punishment up to 10 years in jail.
Of the 64 witnesses in the case, 11 have been examined by the prosecution of
which two, Ravindra Patil (Salman’s police guard) and Ramasray Pandey
(witness to the incident), have turned hostile. The prosecution in its
application has claimed that there is sufficient direct and circumstantial
evidence on record to prove the actor guilty under the enhanced charges.
The defence will file its reply on March 22 when the case will be heard in
court

Salman’s trouble with the law doesn’t end here. The actor still has a case
pending against him in the high court for poaching black bucks in Mathiana,
near Jodhpur. In a recent interview, Salman had claimed that he wasn’t even
around when the event happened. It was only last month that the court
allowed Salman to go abroad without seeking permission from the court
each time.

  I Salman Khan is responsible for the death and injury of others, then it is right that he shoud be tried and pay for the harm that he caused. If these are false charges, then he should be freed totally…and immediately. If he is guilty as charged then the court should not prolong the case, but rather expedite it and come to some conclusion one way or another. They (the courts and police) are dragging this along slowly and by doing so, they are punishing Salman deliberately. This way he is not allowed to get on with his life and have a happy life. They are keeping this hanging over his head. They don’t have the right to do so.
  I pray to God to expedite this case and bring Divine Justice to everyone involved, and grant Divine Mercy Love and Grace to everyone involved in this case.

  Salman Khan is older and obviously wiser about a lot of things. His is involved in humanitarian ventures that I believe comes from his heart. This shows some maturity and evolution of the soul.   Salman should be punished. He should atleast be guilty because by virtue of being a celebrity, even if he gets a 10 year sentence or whatever, he can roam freely like Sanjay Dutt. He is doing all this charity only to cover up his dirty work and all the ‘kaants’ he has done. The way he shows off looks like as if he is the best actor or something. Just because of Dabangg, he is flying high and success has gone to his head big time. Since everyone has forgotten his back to back 3 flops. Anyways, the point is he should be punished.   Salman should be given this kind of punishment just because he is famous, Rash Driving is so common in India and most of them have also been done by GOVERNMENT SERVANT, Check out in the daily newspaper how many Bus Drivers kill people due to their rash driving, Accident on road sometimes due to rash driver or due to rage drive has been done early before Salman’s case and is still on, but all those who did this were left out on bail after paying having fine.
  So giving Salman such a huge punishment is not at all right, our Law shouldn’t do it just because he is famous, after all he too is a human behind that famous face, and he had already been punished for this case,

President Obama announced that Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks, was killed in a firefight during an operation he ordered Sunday inside Pakistan, ending a 10-year manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist.

PAKISTAN TRUTH REVELED FINALLY: The Times reports that the mansion was constructed in 2005. As Ogle Earth reports, there is construction noticeable in 2005 on Google Earth shots of a site that fits with descriptions of the area in 2005:

It was hardly the spartan cave in the mountains where many had envisioned Bin Laden to be hiding. Rather, it was a mansion on the outskirts of the town's center, set on an imposing hilltop and ringed by 12-foot-high concrete walls topped with barbed wire.

The property was valued at $1 million, but it had neither a telephone nor an Internet connection. Its residents were so concerned about security that they burned their trash rather putting it on the street for collection like their neighbors.

Osama Bin Laden Dead Photo is FAKE

An image apparently showing a dead Osama bin Laden broadcast on Pakistani television and picked up by British newspaper websites is a fake.

The bloodied image of a man with matted hair and a blank, half-opened eye has been circulating on the internet for the past two years. It was used on the front pages of the Mail, Times, Telegraph, Sun and Mirror websites, though swiftly removed after the fake was exposed on Twitter.

It appears the fake picture was initially published by the Middle East online newspaper themedialine.org on 29 April 2009, with a warning from the editor that it was "unable to ascertain whether the photo is genuine or not".

Since then, however, the image has been claimed as genuine on a number of conspiracy forums and used to substantiate claims that the terrorist responsible for the 9/11 bombings had been killed.

The Guardian was one of the few sites to hold back from using the manipulated image on its front page, reporting the picture's existence in its live blog but questioning its legitimacy.

The image is based on a genuine photograph of Bin Laden taken in 1998 and used by the Reuters news agency.

Update May 3: Google today updated its base image layer to include imagery from Abbottabad taken on May 9, 2010 — just under a year ago. You can still see the imagery from 2005 (and 2001) by using the historical imagery time slider tool in Google Earth.] And Indeed, in the specific region marked by Al Jazeera, there is construction underway in 2005. Below is the imagery in 2005, then in 2001, then in 2005 again with the construction marked.

Of course, it is possible that construction on the mansion began after June 15, 2005.

It’s possible that these locations are wrong. The easiest way to find the precise place would be to walk on over there and take a look, but failing that, I will keep this article updated with more accurate information as it becomes available.

UPDATE 9:53 UTC: Pakistan-based journalist Omar Waraich tweets that the location of the mansion, and where he is headed to, is Bilal colony/town in Abbottabad. On Google Maps there is a marker tagged “Bilal Mosque” which corresponds perfectly with the screenshots of Google Earth above. In other words, there is reason to be more confident that the above locations are correct.

UPDATE 13:29 UTC: Here are screen grabs from Al Jazeera of the compound: 

As you can see from the wide shot, the compound (not so much a “mansion” in terms of opulence”) faces the edge of an area with fields. Zooming in, we can see a section of red tarpaulin erected to hide ongoing investigatory activity. The mountainscape behind the compound can be reconstructed in Google Earth from the Bilal Town location pinpointed above. In other words, this is more evidence that Bin Laden’s compound is in the above location, most likely on the dirt road that runs along the creek visible in the Google Earth screenshots.

UPDATE 14:52 UTC: After a comment left by Dave (below), I took another look further to the west east of Bilal Mosque to see if there was any prominent construction there in 2005, in an area that is less built up than in Bilal Town proper. And indeed, there is one conspicuous compound that sticks out, and which closely matches the video imagery above. Here is the view in Google Earth in 2001:

I think we have a very likely candidate here. (I’ve updated the map and added the location to the Google Earth KML file.)

(Reuters) - Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed in a U.S. helicopter raid on a mansion near the Pakistani capital Islamabad early on Monday, officials said, ending a nearly 10-year worldwide hunt for the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Bin Laden is dead. If Bin Laden is dead, 

he can’t make tapes. If Bin Laden is dead, everything the US government has said about bin Laden is either wrong, mistaken, or, most probably, a bald-faced lie. If Bin Laden is dead, then everything Bush has been telling you about the war on terrorism over several years is either wrong or a lie or both. In any case, there was never any hard evidence linking Bin Laden to the events of 911! If Binny can’t make tapes, Bush cannot exploit them to wage a “war” about which he has never told the truth.

Osama bin Laden's body buried at sea: US official

Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's body has been buried at sea, as the United States does not want his burial place to become a terrorist shrine, a US official has said. The official said that the body was handled according to Islamic practice and tradition, Fox News reports.
That practice calls for the body to be buried within 24 hours, the official added.

"Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world's most wanted terrorist would have been difficult. So, the US decided to bury him at sea," the official said.
The Saudi-born terrorist, who had evaded capture for a decade, was killed in a top secret operation involving a small team of US special forces in Abbottabad city, located 50 kilometres northeast of Islamabad and 150 kilometres east of Peshawar, Pakistan.
Under Islamic tradition, the body is washed by Muslim men and buried as soon as possible.
The body is usually buried in a simple white sheet -whether buried in the ground, or at sea. (ANI)
